Atpūta Sprogās

Relaxation at “Sprogās” is a wonderful opportunity to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy a peaceful stay in the hills of Latgale and its blue lakes. It is located in the Dagda Municipality, Andrupene Parish, on the picturesque shore of Lake Žugura.

For guests’ relaxation, we offer three holiday cottages — “Sprogas,” “Kalna Sprogas,” and “Līča Sprogas.”

1. Sprogas. Located right on the lake shore, offering accommodation for 6 people, a sauna, a boat, fishing, a designated swimming area, a fire pit, and a grill. In case of necessity, up to 8 people can stay in the cottage, but it is most comfortable for 6. The cottage has a kitchen area (refrigerator, gas stove, electric kettle, dishes, and cutlery), so guests can comfortably use it for an extended stay. There are 2 bedrooms on the second floor with six beds and a double sofa bed on the first floor. The sauna is on the first floor, and a wet toilet is in a nearby shed. There is no shower in the cottage, but the price includes free use of the sauna, where guests can also wash. The cottage has a terrace with garden furniture.
2. Kalna Sprogas. Situated on a hill with a beautiful view of Lake Žugura. Accommodation is available for up to 10 people, with a sauna, boat, fishing, designated swimming area, fire pit, and grill. The cottage is equipped with a kitchen, a living area with a fireplace, TV, shower, and facilities, making it suitable for long stays. The kitchen has all necessary dishes and cutlery. There are 3 bedrooms on the second floor with eight beds and two beds on the first floor. A spacious terrace adjoins the building, perfect for enjoying beautiful sunsets. The unique sauna with a grass roof is located in a separate building directly on the lake shore, featuring a steam room, shower, and a spacious relaxation area. Rentals are available for a minimum of two nights, and from June 1 to September 1, for a minimum of three nights.
3. Līča Sprogas. Located right on the lake shore, this is a typical family cottage, offering accommodation for up to 5 people, a sauna, a boat, a designated swimming area, fire pit, and grill. The cottage is equipped with a kitchen area (refrigerator, gas stove, electric kettle, dishes, and cutlery) and facilities, allowing for extended stays. The bedroom with five beds is on the second floor, while the sauna and kitchenette are on the first floor. A wet toilet is located nearby. There is no shower in the cottage, but free use of the sauna is included, where guests can also wash. The cottage terrace extends toward the lake, giving the impression of standing above the water! The cottage is surrounded by a beautiful and spacious area for relaxing, sunbathing, or engaging in active outdoor activities.

Each holiday cottage has its own territory, relaxation area, fire pit, pontoon-style pier, and boat.

While staying here, many attractions are easily accessible — the ethnographic museum “Andrupene Rural Homestead” is a 5-minute drive away. Aglona Basilica, King’s Hill, Makonkalns, Big Linden Hill, Velnezers (Chortoks), and Lake Rāzna are all within a half-hour drive!
