Holiday village "Locu sala"

The guest house "Locu Sala" is a holiday complex located in the heart of the Čarmaņi Nature Park, on a picturesque peninsula surrounded by the crystal-clear waters of Lake Karmaņi. It is part of a homestead with an apiary and a private house situated in one of the most beautiful areas of Latgale. The famous Aglona Basilica, the mysterious Devil’s Lake, and the quiet town of Krāslava are only a 15-minute drive away.

Locu Sala is one of the most environmentally clean places in Latvia, and therefore also in Europe. The lake’s water transparency reaches 6 meters, and there are no industrial enterprises within a 50-kilometre radius.

Accommodation includes 5 houses:

1. The two-storey house “Cross of Māra” (12 beds + 4 additional).
   Upon entering, you will find a spacious banquet hall suitable for up to 25 guests. It can also be converted into an extra bedroom, as there are two double sofa beds. The fully equipped kitchen is connected to the banquet hall and includes a refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, washing machine and kettle.
   The main bedroom on the first floor features a double bed and two sofa beds, a small dining area, and access to a private terrace. The bedroom is connected to a separate fully equipped kitchen. The bathroom has a shower.

2. The two-storey house “Jumis” (14 beds).
   At the entrance there is a hall leading to a corridor and the living room. The living room has a large sofa, a fireplace, and access to a spacious terrace with a grill and a view of the grounds and the lake.
   From the corridor you can enter the first bedroom, which has a queen-size double bed, and a modern bathroom equipped with a shower, toilet, bidet, sink and washing machine.
   There is also a bright, fully equipped kitchen with a large dining table and an additional washing machine.

3. The one-storey house “Skujiņa” (6 beds).
   The entrance opens into a spacious open area with a dining space and a small kitchen equipped with a refrigerator, stove, sink, cupboards and all necessary dishes. The common area also includes an LED smart TV and air conditioning.
   The bathroom has a shower.
   On the left are two separate bedrooms. Each bedroom has a queen-size bed, a single bed, bedside tables, lamps and a wardrobe. One of the bedrooms has access to a private terrace.

4. The two-storey house “Krupītis” (5 beds).
   Behind the entrance hall is a steep staircase leading to the second floor (important to note: the stairs may be difficult for small children or guests with limited mobility).
   If you continue past the stairs, you reach the living area with large panoramic windows offering a view of the green fields and the lake. This area also has access to a spacious terrace equipped with a barbecue.

5. The two-storey house “Ūsiņš” (4 beds).
   The main living area is a bright room with floor-to-ceiling windows, a sofa bed and a dining table.
   A small loft provides two additional sleeping places on single mattresses. Access is via a steep staircase, so please check the photos to ensure it is suitable for your group, especially when travelling with small children or people who may have difficulty climbing.

Guests are provided with bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi.
