Piedruja is the first inhabited place entering Latvia from Belarus. It’s place where the Dvina flows into the Daugava and begins it’s course to the Baltic Sea. It’s place where Latvia begins. The village has long and eventful history.

At the very border, bank of the Daugava 7 big chairs have been installed, on which a fascinating view of Daugava and Belarus opens up. This is place where you can merge with nature, enjoy silence and get to know the diverse sounds of nature, which are hidden in the songs of birds, the rustle of trees and the breath of Daugava.

When you visit Piedruja it’s mandatory to bring an identity document and rezidence permission.
