Mežvīni

“Mežvīni” is a place for gaining new inspiration and restoring life energy, where people connected with art and music periodically come together to create, collaborate, and enjoy the nature of Latgale in all seasons.

Camping cabins are available for guests. It is a cozy retreat in an ancient Latgalian homestead, in a remote corner of nature far from civilization, where one can enjoy the sounds of untouched nature and peaceful surroundings. Guests may also choose to stay overnight in an authentic old granary. In addition, trailer sites with electricity and tent pitches next to an apple orchard are available, along with well water, campfire areas, and a refreshing swimming pond. A traditional black sauna is also available.

At “Mežvīni”, guests can take part in herbal tea gathering and tasting, bread baking, making music, wreath weaving, mushroom picking, and various art activities, thus gaining inner harmony and joy of life. Guests can also enjoy the black sauna or a white sauna, as well as swimming in the pond. Nearby, it is possible to explore historical evidence and artifacts of the ancient Jaudzemi village (Anno 1890) that have been preserved to this day. A large hay barn or a spacious outdoor tent can be rented for events, and catering can be arranged.

Close by, visitors can once again discover the historical relics and objects of the old Jaudzemi village (Anno 1890) preserved to the present day. Guests may also go on cycling trips to nearby lakes and villages, enjoying the generosity of Latgale’s nature and its people.
